Il Viaggio Del Vino
(The Touring of the Wine)
While Girasole is known for it’s delicious food and sincere appreciation of it’s customers we truly believe that wine is as essential as food to a good Italian meal. And so we are happy that in addition to great food and good conversation we are able to offer our customers fine Italian wines. Without a doubt, the most exciting thing about Italian wine is it’s diversity. Italy produces unique terroir-driven wines that no other wine region can replicate due to its infinite variations in contours, soils and microclimates. However, While the extraordinary diversity of Italy’s wines can provide pleasure for every taste, new vineyards, unfamiliar grapes and confusing regulations make it difficult to sort out. Therefore, Girasole is proud to present “Il Viaggio Del Vino”, (The journey of the wine) a program which will compliment our seasonal dining menu and give our customers a better understanding of what Italy’s regions have to offer. Our wine menu for the fall and winter months will be derived from central and northern Italy. And in the spring and summer months it will reflect offerings from central and southern Italy. In addition, Girasole regularly offers regional wine dinners which include a typical meal from a selected region accompanied by wines specific to that region. Adding to the fabulous food and great Italian wines guests enjoy learning a little bit about the people, history, geography and the producers of that region. Please call for more information if you are interested in the wine dinners. We hope to extend our enthusiasm for the wines of Italy to our customers in an informative and entertaining way.
